This was a temporal camapign microsite, and has since expired, but this mock-version can be found on a staging environment.

Waitrose Christmas was a festive site created to inform customers of the offerings available at Christmas online and in-store.

The brief was to create an independent micro-site that would deliver increased sales for Waitrose Branches, Waitrose Deliver, Waitrose Entertaining, Wine Direct, Flowers and Gifts Direct and John Lewis Direct, whilst communicating the ‘Waitrose Difference’.

The solution was to create a site that provided a combined a platform of static content familiar to existing customers, while at every level encouraging contribution and interaction with the user-generated community features.

We achieved complete level2/AA accessibility (and very nearly complete Level-3/AAA), whilst creating an interesting and dynamic site that continues to offer more for each experience and return visit.

The design reflects the art-direction of the offline campaigns and in-store material being developed, whilst creating a distinct digital identity that separates itself from both the ordinary ‘Waitrose brand perception’ and its competitors.

I believe this site to one of the best examples of my user-centric design approach. The project involved extensive requirements, analysis and user testing – and resulted in a dynamic, interesting, well-designed solution that delighted the client.
