Exel global logistics

(Details of client merger)

Exel was a global logistics operator prior to its merger with DHL. We were involved in a global re-branding exercise, delivering an international website to coincide with the launch of a new CMS.

The site was to be quite corporate, prominently white, clean, and easy to navigate (as dictated by the brand guidelines). This was also the agency’s first large scale Microsoft CMS .Net development, so we had to work with the technical team to make the front-end development as simple as possible, allowing them to focus their efforts on developing the back-end.

The final concept was simple, but fulfilled all the needs of the client and allowed for rapid international deployment. It was never going to win any awards but it was nice to look at and incredibly easy to use. This was the first large project I worked on, and I learned a lot about the development and deployment of a template-driven CMS product, and the considerations one must take into account when designing accessibly.
